隠岐旅行メモ

1892年、八雲はセツとともに熊本から博多、関西、広島を旅し、下関経由で境港へ行き、隠岐諸島を探訪した。その際、113頁にわたる地名・人名・伝説・印象などのメモを書き残している。

Hearn’s memos of his trip to the Oki Islands

In 1892, Hearn and his wife Setsu undertook a long trip. Setting out from Kumamoto, they travelled to Hakata, the Kansai region, Hiroshima, Shimonoseki, Sakaiminato, and the Oki Islands. During the trip, Hearn wrote 113 pages of memos. These notes included locations, people's names, legends and impressions.
